Soul Toll with Anusia
See you at the studio.
Everything you need to know for a great recording day.
Where to Go
Johnny Ray's Recording Studio
31 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead, MA 01945
Street parking is available on Atlantic Ave and surrounding streets.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early and plan for traffic. We record back-to-back and cannot hold time for late arrivals. If you miss your window, we will need to reschedule.
What to Wear
"You have to get dressed anyway, so why not dress as your most supernova self — and not be afraid to be that person? What are you waiting for?" — Erin Walsh
Ask yourself: how do I want to feel today? Wear that.
A few practical notes for the camera:
Avoid bright white — it can overexpose against studio lighting and appear washed out on screen.
Avoid very tight stripes or small repeating patterns — they can create a visual shimmer effect on camera.
Hair and Makeup
Come as you are, or come camera-ready — either is welcome. Matte finishes tend to hold better under studio lighting. There's space to touch up when you arrive.
On the Day

One Last Thing
Read the briefing document Anusia sent you. Think it through. Then let it go. The conversation will find its own direction. Your job on the day is to be present, not to perform.
